The beginning of a new direction
Today, we officially began the internal incubation of Tomato's agent product line.
As we continued serving users, one thing became increasingly clear to us: many users do not just want one-time access to a model. They want an AI system that is longer-term, more dedicated, and more sustainably available.
Why we are starting this
Traditional model services are more about access. Agent services are more about ownership.
We believe the more valuable future direction is not only to let users call AI, but to help them own AI agents of their own.
What this phase will focus on
During the internal incubation phase, we will concentrate on validating:
- Real user demand for dedicated agents
- Delivery models for agent services
- Deployment and hosting capabilities on the engineering side
- The relationship between this direction and Tomato's model services
What's next
If validation goes well, we will gradually move this direction from internal exploration into a formal product line.
